Wainstalls is a high Pennine village above Luddenden Dean, on the moor edge north-west of Halifax. It sits around Wainstalls Lane and Cold Edge Road, with the Fly Flatts reservoir and open moorland rising behind it - one of the most exposed and highest settlements in the whole Calder Valley.
We cover the whole of Wainstalls - the houses around Wainstalls Lane, the cottages and farms up Cold Edge Road, and the properties down towards Booth and Luddenden Dean. The moorland lanes are steep, narrow and weather-exposed, so access and turning space matter; tell us the layout and we'll bring the right truck for the job.
Wainstalls is about five miles from our valley base, a steady climb off the valley floor. Most HX2 bookings still go out the next working day. Up here we handle plenty of farm and barn clearances and garden projects alongside the usual household and renovation waste.
