Shelf sits on the high ground between Halifax and Bradford, strung along Halifax Road on the edge of the Calderdale district below Queensbury. It is a village of stone terraces, semis and later housing, with Shelf Hall Park and its old hall at its heart and open country falling away towards Northowram.
We cover the whole of Shelf - the houses along Halifax Road and Carr House Road, the streets around Shelf Hall Park, and the estates reaching towards Northowram and Stone Chair. The main road through is busy, so where kerbside space is tight we'll advise on a permit or fit a skip onto the drive instead.
Shelf is about eight miles from our valley base, on the Halifax to Bradford road. Most HX3 bookings still go out the next working day, with same-day sometimes possible for early orders. We deal with household clear-outs, garden jobs and small-builder refits right across the village.

We can - where there's no room on the drive and the skip has to go kerbside on Halifax Road or nearby, we arrange the Calderdale roadside permit and the safety lighting for you. Where the road is too busy, a skip on the drive or a smaller size is often the simpler answer.
